What would you do if you were minding your own business at the gym, lifting weights or stopping by the water fountain, and Arnold Schwarzenegger just walked right up to you like it was no big deal?
The bodybuilding legend, famous actor, and former California governor did exactly that in a recent partnership with Gold’s Gym. Arnold went undercover as a physical fitness instructor named Howard at a Gold’s in Venice, CA, complete with a totally badass mustache and a crazy wig. The only problem is, you can disguise the man, but there’s no way you can disguise that heavy Austrian accent. Despite this, a surprising number of gym-goers didn’t make the connection, so either they’ve never seen The Terminator (or have internet access) or they were just really, really into their workouts. It looks like only one woman recognized him right away, and a man realized it was him and called him Arnold, though Arnold quickly retorted with “Howard is my name.”
The prank wasn’t just for fun, either — though it looks like everyone involved got a pretty good laugh out if it. Arnold participated in support of the After-School All-Stars organization, and if you head to their website, you can donate $10 or more to the charity and enter to win a chance to meet him.
