Bytes for Breakfast: Airplane Health + Breakfast Straws for Travel

Summer is coming to a close and I didn’t have a chance to go on a summer vacay! Maybe it is for the better though since studies have shown that you may be 100 times more likely to catch a cold in the flying germ incubator than on the ground.

There isn’t much worse than sitting in a plane next to someone with a serious case of the sniffles and knowing you are going to be infested with your in-flight passenger’s germs before you make it to the ground. Well, it could be worse if you were in a plane with the maniac germaphobe who harassed a coughing woman on an American Airlines flight and later body slammed her against the wall.

For your next getaway, don’t stand in line for airport food that will be cold and soggy before you get on board. I saw these Breakfast Jam Straws on Camille Styles and thought that they were an inspired grab-and-go breakfast idea that is more exciting than a bag of dry cereal. Personally I’d add some peanut butter into the mix!
