7 Steps to Day of At-Home Pampering and Relaxing

7 Steps to At-Home Relaxation

All hard working people deserve a break from busy schedules, but most of us ignore this fact and feed into our busy schedules without ever pulling the brakes.

With the weekend in reach you should start planning a day devoted to just you. A day of at-home pampering is in your future with these simple steps.

What You’ll Need

  • Comfy clothes
  • A quiet space
  • Candles
  • Relaxing music
  • Bubble bath

Start your Relaxing Day

  1. Turn on your lounge day playlist to set the mood for your day. Norah Jones is a hero in times like these!
  2. Enjoy your day through candlelight by lighting some relaxing candle scents like chamomile or lavender. Light candles around the places you will be like the bathroom or bedroom.
  3. Take a warm bath with extra bubbles. Don’t think of your time in the tub as a time to get clean. Focus your attention on relaxing and soaking any troubles away.
  4. After your bath, put on your most comfortable lounge attire. Any excuse to pull your hair back and wear cozy sweatpants and a t-shirt for a day should be welcomed.
  5. Sit in a quiet, comfortable area and relax your eyes with a facial. If you don’t have one you can make a DIY banana facial by mashing up a half banana with 2 tablespoons of honey. Rest your eyes with cucumber slices for 15 minutes and then rinse.
  6. Now that you have spent some quality pampering time on yourself pick up and old book or watch a movie that has been on your list for a while. Drink a glass of wine. Enjoy the rest of your day immersing yourself in something you enjoy without thinking about any stresses.
  7. Make a home cooked meal. Nothing ends a wonderfully laid back day like your favorite comfort food made with a healthy spin! Try one of these utterly unique chili recipes to warm your soul.

Have you ever dedicated an entire day to relaxing and pampering yourself? How good does it feel?

    • Sometimes some me-time comes with a daycare bill, but it is so important to give yourself some love so that you can spread your happiness on to your little one:)
