This Not That: Body Oils

Body Oils

During the colder seasons, dry skin all over your body can make you feel itchy and uncomfortable. You forgo wearing your favorite sweaters and shirts because they will have you scratching all day. The best way to prevent dry skin is to stop it before it starts. Body oils are a great way to moisturize your skin and help it retain moisture.

Body oils aren’t greasy and are suited for all skin types. For the best results, apply the body oil after you shower while your skin is still damp. Do not apply the oil in the shower or bath because this may cause you to slip and fall. Pour small amounts of oil in your hands and apply it all over your body. Pat yourself dry with a towel — rubbing yourself dry with a towel will remove the oil. Once you are dry apply your lotion to make sure your skin is deeply moisturized. If your skin isn’t severely dry could skip the lotion step. Two body oils that we love are Carol’s Daughter Almond Cookie Bath and Body Oil and Philosophy Amazing Grace Satin-Finish Body Oil Mist.

This clean floral scent isn’t strong so you will still be able to wear your favorite perfume without getting a headache. This oil does contain paraffins and parfums, so if you have sensitive skin you may want to spot test this product behind your knees before you apply it all over your body.  Let’s review some of the pros and cons of Philosophy Amazing Grace Satin-Finish Body Oil Mist.
