Currently Obsessed With: Mesh Workout Gear

I’m sorry to say this but I will never be one of those girls who prances around the gym in bright colors and crazy kicks. When it comes to sweating it out, I like neutrals, but prefer all black.

Why? Because it’s flattering, odd sweat stains aren’t immediately apparent/grotesque and (to be quite honest) black is the chicest, most bada**  color. Plus, doesn’t everyone look good in it?

That being said, just because your outfit is monochrome doesn’t mean you should opt for boring pieces. It’s important to mix it up with textures and accents, and a current favorite would have to be mesh. Mesh is breathable and looks super tough. In addition, you can layer things either over or under mesh tops without feeling too stuffy. Even wearing long leggings with mesh inserts add some flattering lines and a bit of a sexy touch.

Take a look at some of our favorite mesh pieces from a few of our very favorite activewear pitstops.

We love the long line of mesh going down the sides of these leggings for an elongated and slimming effect.

This top is great to workout in, but also great to throw over your look for an edgier vibe. We love the mesh back to show off our strappy sports bras!

This bomber is definitely one for the lust list. It’s great for layering and throwing over your workout outfit in this “transition” period in seasons.

This bra offers coverage and support while managing not to look dowdy.

Coming in black and white, we simply can’t decide! Here’s another fun way to show off your sports bra, not to mention be able to sweat with breathability!

I am a huge fan of wearing shorts at the gym. These mesh inserts offer coverage (hello, plié squats!) while

7. Nike Blazer Mid Mesh Sneaker (Nike, $69.97)

If you’re not into showing off too much skin, even just an accent of mesh on your shoes can kick it up a notch.

8. Alala Fighter Crop Tee (Alala, $85)

For the super confident, wearing a crop is certainly a good idea.

9. Koral Dash Long Sleeve Tee (Koral Activewear, $95)

You can wear this long sleeve, fully mesh top with a sports bra or a tank underneath. Either way, we think you will look totally cool.
