Unfortunately most of us are so busy that rushing through a meal has become commonplace. Next time you have your dish in front of you, try to take in the experience mindfully. Pay attention to the specific smells and tastes, rather than to a TV show or Netflix movie. You may find yourself caring more about what you eat and how much you eat. In the long run, this will be very beneficial to your health and happiness in your food choices.

  1. Ah yes, mindful eating. I have to admit that I definitely watch TV when I have dinner at home and I am generally in the car when I am eating lunch, but I do notice what I am eating and enjoy every bite! Does that count? lol
