Working out doesn’t have to mean going to the gym and using an elliptical for 45 minutes. Working out can be much more accessible and much more convenient than you think. Hate going to the gym and exercising in front of dozens of people? Don’t worry, no one enjoys that.
Personally, working out in crowded environments can sometimes make me self conscious. Thanks to my recent discovery of the Nike Training Club App I don’t have to face the gorilla juice heads in the gym anymore. Not familiar with it? Well, Nike Training Club is an app designed to help you achieve all of your exercise goals without having to spend centuries in the gym. Whether you’re looking to shed a few extra pounds, tone up that tush, or focus on cardiovascular training, this app has got you covered!
One thing I love about the Nike Training Club app is that it offers different levels of intensities in many of its workouts. Okay, so you’re a beginner? The app has workout circuits targeted specifically to beginners. It also offers intermediate and advanced workouts.
Another great feature of this app is that there are four initial categories you can choose from: Get Lean, Get Toned, Get Strong, and Get Focused. Get Lean offers a variety of high intensity interval drills to give you awesome cardio workouts that range from 30 to 45 minutes. Get Toned is a series of light weights and interval training designed to help you achieve an overall muscle tone. Get Strong features reps of heavy weights to help you build strength and add muscle. Get Focused is designed to help you really attack those problem areas. It offers 15 minute circuits designed to tone your arms, tighten your tummy, bust your butt, and strengthen your back.
In addition to these great workouts, Nike Training Club also has 15 special bonus workouts from celebrity athletes and trainers. Some days when I need an extra motivational push, I workout with Serena Williams and she gets me through my circuits. Not to mention her workout is crazy good. One of my favorite features on this app is that with each exercise move, they offer step by step instructions on how to keep proper form and they give you a demo video so you can see what the exercise should look like before you do it. This feature is perfect for beginners because it ensures that you do everything correctly. You really have no excuses, no gym, free app, get going. Now.
Pros:
– Different levels for everyone from beginners to fitness gurus
– Easy to navigate categories for all types of workouts
