Bruno Mars’ latest hit Locked Out of Heaven from his second studio album Unorthodox Jukebox puts us instantly into a muscular shuffle. The invigorating song has the emotional intensity that just gets us going. No wonder it is topping the Billboard Hot 100 list.
The pop-esque tune with a rock-reggae beat has a lot going on musically, but is a fun and dynamic hit that deserves the praise (and a cardio blast specifically made for it!). Locked Out of Heaven is a chance for the Hawaiian singer-songwriter to be the singer he has always wanted to be and share the pure and smooth Peter Gene Hernandez voice.
We’ll take a ballad from time to time, but we like you just where you are Bruno. Great, upbeat single to end the year on.
