Nothing ends a great day’s work than a glass of cold beer and President Barack Obama can say the same thing.

After an outburst of requests, last week the White House released the recipe for the two different styles of brews they have been drinking on presidential grounds for some time. Both home brews use honey from the First Lady’s bee hive. The White House Honey Ale is the first beer known to have been brewed in the white house.

Not everyone a can be a president, but now you can drink like one since the honey ale and honey porter are quickly becoming a hot commodity in the home brewing community.

White House Releases Beer Recipe

I could have shared a breakfast idea that includes honey, but since your mind is also on beer it only made sense to share a breakfast recipe that includes the  frothy beverage. I stumbled upon these Bourbon County Stout Pancakes with Cardamom-Spiced Maple Syrup from Fresh and Foodie and was immediately salivating. Two ounces of beer in your pancake batter hardly makes you a lush and does wonders for the fluffiness of the pancakes. The next best thing is getting your hands on some of Obama’s honey ale and morphing it into a fancified, flavorful breakfast delight. The only rule: You must eat these boozy pancakes in your pajamas!
