August Foodie Pen Pal: Box of Yum

It’s the last day of the month so that means it is Foodie Pen Pal time hosted by the amazing Lindsay from The Lean Green Bean. The blogger foodie exchange program keeps getting bigger and bigger! There were originally 30 participants and now there are over 1,300 of us foodie lovers involved.

The Lean Green Bean

This month my package came from Jess who blogs at AA Vegan and let me tell you…she can make some killer cookies.

These peanut butter cookies rival some of the best I have ever had. They stayed soft and crumbly through the last bite. I was seriously sad when they were gone. Luckily Jess shared the recipe so I can make them again. I think the almond milk in them is a real cookie game changer.

The Kavli golden rye crispbreads were the perfect base for my favorite spreadable laughing cow cheese. I snacked on them with some grapes!

Every time I eat kale chips I like them more and more. What I loved about Kale Krunch is that the clusters were the perfect size. Not so thin and frail like some other kale chips I have had. And the tarragon dijon flavor was oh so fabulous. But it was hard to decide if I liked the kale chips or the wasabi dry roasted edamame more. Hmmm….

I’ve eaten a ton of food with flaxseed meal in it but I have actually never made something myself. Now that I have some there will be no excuse to not spend hours on Pinterest finding the perfect recipe to use it with.

And nothing is better than a mug of delicious tea. Look at that steam!

Thank you Jess for the wonderful FPP box.

The box I sent to my match was also full of some delicious snacky foods. See what I sent Alexis from Lexi Bites.

    • I love homemade treats especially of the baked variety because I am better in the dinner cooking department than the cake part of the kitchen 🙂
