I am super excited to OFFICIALLY kick off the food pairing challenge I have been ranting and raving about for weeks!

If you search the web for food pairings what mostly comes up is page upon page of food and wine pairings. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of some good vino, but I find the entire concept of pairing food together fascinating and worthy of sharing. Here are a few ingredients I put together that wowed my palate.
1. One Minute Antipasto: I know ham and cheese isn’t the most genius food pairing out there…but ham wrapped around STRING cheese with balsamic vinegar and artichokes is.
2. Cucumber Crackers: Laughing Cow cheese spread on slices of cucumber = insane deliciousness.
3. Fruit ‘n Nuts: Take a piece of pineapple. Put a pistachio on top of it. Take a bite. Yum.
4. Seasoned Sliced Tomatoes: I don’t know why I haven’t thought to season my sliced tomatoes with different spices before. It really brings a tomato to the next level. I sprinkled caraway seeds on top of them and dipped the red beauties in spicy brown mustard. It will be happening again.
And here is a recap of this past months Weekly Bite’s to get you trying some new, seasonal eats (click on the photos for recipe ideas):

I love your food pairings! I ALWAYS have string cheese in my fridge, so that one-minute antipasto is a great idea. I’ll definitely participate in the next link-up 🙂
Adding a bit of balsamic vinegar on top was the best part!
