Spring is in the air! Use your new weather energy to get the most of your health. The warmer season is the perfect time of year to de-clutter, physically and mentally.
Deep cleaning your bathroom, organizing your closet and tossing out old food from your pantry does more than give you a sparkly, clean environment…it is a paradigm change for your healthy lifestyle. For those of you that ditched your New Year’s resolution back in February it is a fresh opportunity to make new permanent changes that can lead to better health. And it can all start by bringing out the cleaning product.
The pile-ups of papers and clothes can create anxiety just by looking at the clutter. Shape your environment to shape yourself by:
- Creating a cleaning schedule the way you would your gym appointments. When you have something on the calendar you will be attentive to your de-cluttering mission.
- Focusing on one area at a time. Once one room is tackled take a break so you don’t feel overwhelmed. Just like weight loss, you have to shed a little at a time.
- Get into the habit of recycling. Reducing your amount of waste may not directly improve your health but it does support a healthy lifestyle and can help you feel good about yourself. We are all for mental boosts!
