“My motto was always to keep swinging. Whether I was in a slump or feeling badly or having trouble off the field, the only thing to do was keep swinging.” – Hank Aaron
We know not everyone is a baseball fan, but let’s be real…Hall of Famer Hank Aaron had the right attitude about the game AND life.
Everyone can relate to the feeling when it seems like it would be easier to just throw in the towel, but every obstacle you overcome, adversity you conquer and mountain you climb eventually pays off.
One small setback should not keep you from your health goals. Remember how to stay inspired and keep looking forward (like Hank did!) with these simple tips:
1. You are Stronger than you Think (by a lot)
One setback should not keep you from reaching your goals and neither should a 1,000 setbacks.
2. Prove it to Yourself
You don’t want to be known as the person who always gives up. If you are set on proving something to yourself (and the world), you will definitely achieve what you set out today.
3. Don’t Sell Yourself Short
Don’t get stuck in “dream” phase. In life many people are going to want to push you down or sidetrack you from you end game, but keep your future in mind and eventually you will get there.
4. You are Probably Closer than you Think
When you are inches from the end is when it feels the farthest away. Remember that at any moment you will have a huge break-through and it is worth the wait. You are just a heartbeat from success!
Keep on swinging!
