If there was one food I could eat every day for the rest of my life without a doubt it would be Chobani yogurt. So when I found out that Chobani was opening their first Mediterranean yogurt bar in New York City, I went into overdrive talking about how excited I was about a new way to experience one of my favorite eats. I was FINALLY silenced (luckily with spoonfuls of Chobani) when some of my blog buddies—Pam @Redesign Revoultion, Nicole @Healthy Way to Cook and Mustafah from @Haute Talk—and I took a field trip down to the place that yogurt dreams do come true: Chobani SoHo.
Chobani SoHo has been a vision that Chobani founder and CEO Hamdi has had on his mind for years. The concept was to showcase the simplicity of the Chobani Greek yogurt paired with carefully crafted artisanal ingredients. The idea is to come in, taste the inspired sweet and savory recipes and buy the yogurt and fixings so you can recreate your own Creations at home. Tell me that isn’t better than buying Cho from the shelves of Foodtown.
The hand-selected ingredients don’t disappoint. There are 10 Yogurt Creations to choose from with both sweet and savory options. I was grateful to be with my friends so that I could taste test multiple options. Decisions are not my thing. All of the Creations are served in glass bowls that you can KEEP!
The flavors I experienced were: Peanut butter and jelly with grapes, fig and walnut with honey, pistachio and chocolate with oranges, and toasted coconut with pineapple and hazelnuts. I chose the latter and it was my favorite, but perhaps I am biased. There is something about tropical flavors that I can’t get enough of. Thank you Yogurt Masters.
The chic décor of the yogurt bar creates an intimate setting to watch the yogurt chefs craft your selections. It is an excellent stop to enjoy a healthy and gourmet treat while hanging out with other yogurt lovers. Not bad company to be in if you ask me.
I am pretty sure that Chobani SoHo is quickly going to become a tourist hot spot. Normally I would shun this idea because I have adopted the fast paced attitude of fellow New Yorkers and the thought of a crowd in front of MY beloved yogurt shop sounds unappealing…but I love Chobani so much that I want them to have hordes of success. Just be sure to make a bar more uptown, will ya?
As if Chobani needed a bigger fan, they found one in me. I can’t wait to go back and already know what I will be ordering.
Do you love Chobani yogurt? What is your favorite yogurt topping? Tell me below!
Is this for real?! HOW AWESOME! I am known to eat up some yogurt from time to time. I had no idea they had an actual yogurt bar! Another reason for a vacay!
It is brand new! I feel confident that more bars will be popping up in due time. But until then NYC should be on your vacation list.
Dyinggg to go here!
I bet the reviews that you are seeing from people are making you want to go more and more! Thanks for reading Brittany!
So happy we finally got to go! Let’s go back soon and try all the flavors we didn’t get 🙂
Definitely need to go with the group again so we can say that we tasted the entire menu. haha.
they were talking about this at our dinner the other night and I’m really intrigued. mostly because i think the savory ideas sound great
I was eyeing the savory choices up but couldn’t resist the pineapple coconut combo!
Oh, yummy! A trip to SOHO was just added to my agenda for the week. This is awesome— and I like the idea of going with a group of friends so you can have a little taste of everything.
That might just be worth coming to New York for!
I know! It is definitely going to become a tourist hot spot with so many Chobani fans out there.
[…] fridge will never be without a slew of Chobani yogurt, strawberries or eggs. Maybe I should come up with an inspired recipe that includes them […]
