When you think of the Bumble Bee brand, your mind probably goes back to the tuna fish sandwiches from your past. Today, Bumble Bee is back with a new mission; promoting your well bee-ing.

Bee Well For Life is a branch of the company that aims to educate and motivate individuals to maintain healthy lifestyles, while raising money for some great causes with similar goals in mind. Their website is full of healthy tips in cleverly named categories. The “Bee Nutritious” section focuses on cooking and eating, while “Bee Active” is focused on physical activity and fitness. Bee Well For Life is a great resource for anyone who is looking for advice on healthy living…after you are done reading Bite Size Wellness, of course!

The main attraction for Bee Well has got to be their web magazine Bee Well For Life: A Living Guide. The editions are seasonally focused, so the one that is available on their website currently is spring themed. We love this idea. Lifestyle habits can change drastically from season to season based on the weather and what’s available, so focusing everything on what you can do now for your health makes the advice approachable and easy to follow.

The spring issue has some awesome articles and tidbits of information. One of our favorites is their advice for how to make “SMART” resolutions and habits. If you set goals for yourself that follow this criteria, they will be easier to follow and will last longer as a part of your routine.

SMART stands for:
S – Specific
M – Measurable
A – Attainable
R – Rewarding
T – Timely

“Spring Clean Your Workout” is another article that we found to be really interesting and helpful. Bee Well talks about how early spring is the time when your New Year’s resolutions from January get boring and repetitive, and now is the perfect time to “clean” up your workout routine. Some of their tips actually line up perfectly with what we’ve suggested to Bite Size readers:

  • Try something new to mix up your normal routine.
  • Try changing up your fitness scenery, like working out outdoors.
  • Try working out with a buddy to increase motivation.
