Sitting at your desk working all day can be a total drag. In fact, we are often envious of those who chose the career path that involves the non-cube life. But it seems there is still hope for those of us who rely on a computer and a swivel chair to get things done with treadmill desks being the latest office health trend.
Treadmill desks are changing the sedentary lifestyle of the modern working environment. And we love it. Companies that embracing the walk stations are helping their employees improve their healthy lifestyle and therefore increase their work productivity. The treadmill desk allows you to walk comfortably at a maximum of 2 miles per hour, burn calories and keep you energized throughout the day while still being productive.
There is, of course, a learning curve. Many employees transition to the treadmill by first converting their desk to a standing desk and then adding the treadmill at slow speeds later. But the changeover is worth it because you will have the opportunity to go to the gym and to work at the same time.
So the only question is when can our office get them?
