Sometimes it’s hard to get yourself motivated for the gym, especially on Mondays. Music Monday is designed with the intention to get you motivated enough to get to the gym and have an awesome workout. I find that anytime I go to the gym and have to find motivation to workout, no matter miserable I start out, I’m always glad I worked out by the end of my session. Something I always tell myself is that the only ‘bad’ workouts are the ones that don’t happen. Even if you get to the gym and work out for a thirty minute session, it’s better than sitting on the couch. Even if you don’t feel like running on a treadmill, do some weights and a short cardio warm up. Weight training helps burn fat and burns more calories than you’d think.
One of my favorite Monday workouts is a butt kicking one (literally). This week’s Music Monday workout is a circuit thats designed to help sculpt your glutes and tone your tush. This circuit will have you squatting and lunging your way to a perfect butt. make sure to keep proper form and if you can, push yourself until you feel a burn in your thighs and butt. The more you feel the burn, the more your muscles are working. If you need a break in between exercises, feel free to take a short break but really try to push yourself.
“The Monster” by Eminem and Rihanna is a perfect song to get your Monday workout off to the right start. The beat is uplifting and motivational and Rihanna’s verse will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day (maybe week even). The song is full of energy and is super fun to sing along to. And if you work hard enough, maybe some day your rear end will look as good as hers! Get squatting. Happy Monday!
