Now that fall is approaching and summer weather is over, it’s hard to stay motivated to hit the gym. Just a few short exercise circuits each week can help you stay out of that cold weather funk. Remember though, you need to work each body part at least twice a week to stay fit and in shape. One of the hardest body parts to really work out effectively is your arms. Just because it isn’t tank top season doesn’t mean you should let those summer guns turn to flab. Working out your arms just a few times a week can keep them nice and toned, all you really need is the right workout and some pump up music. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. It is so important to exercise all the muscles in your arms for the best results, so this week’s Music Monday is a great combination of tricep, bicep, and shoulder circuits that will keep your arms strong and lean. Push ups are overlooked all the time but when done properly can serve as a fantastic work out. To work different muscles, try changing the positioning of your hands (move them closer together or spread them further apart). Planks are another great exercise that works your arms and abs at the same time for an all around burn. To make planks more challenging, try lifting one leg and one arm then alternating.
Our arm workout for this week is paired with Applause by Lady Gaga, providing you with the ultimate pump up song. Applause is loud, upbeat, and super fun to dance to. All you need are some dumbbells and a mat and you’re ready for your workout. Be sure to do each circuit slowly to maximize the results and do your best to push through the whole workout, even if it burns. You’ll thank us later.
Sun’s out guns out, work those weapons!
