Monday’s usually suck. There’s no other way to say it. After a nice relaxing weekend away from life’s many stresses, no one wants to get up early and go to class or work or the gym (especially not the gym). We’ve got a solution to some of your Monday problems. Just a warning, this workout will not make Monday your favorite day of the week, but it will help get you going and get your work week started off right.
This week’s Music Monday workout is designed to help motivate you and cure you of your Monday blues. Try this cardio kick workout in the morning before work or school just to get your blood pumping. A little cardio in the morning is the perfect thing to get your metabolism and heart rate going. You could also use this short exercise circuit as a warm up at the gym or as a set in between weight training exercises. “This Is What It Feels Like” by Armin Van Buuren is a great, upbeat song that will make you want to get out of bed, get on your sneakers, and start working out (or dancing- that still counts as cardio).
Short bursts of cardiovascular activity may not seem beneficial to a calorie-burning workout, but they are extremely effective in getting your blood circulating, and making you sweat and sweating burns calories. If you’re looking to burn more calories, aim to do this circuit several times throughout your day- before work, after work, in between classes, at the gym as a warm up, before your shower, etc. We love to do this short workout in between weight training exercises at the gym because it helps you add some cardio to your routine without running on a treadmill for extended periods of time. (Because, really, how boring is that?!)

Cardio every single morning – that’s my routine. If I don’t do it, I will feel crummy the rest of the day! Kick the day off on the right foot 🙂
I never feel like working out on Mondays but I feel so much better when I do! This circuit looks nice and sweaty. I already worked out today but I’m definitely trying this tomorrow tomorrow!
