daily bite wellness tip strength training

Strength training is a type of exercise that uses resistance in order to induce muscular contractions. Some of the benefits of strength training are that it increases the amount of calories you burn, lowers your blood pressure, and prevents muscle loss. This type of exercise should not be completed everyday, instead 2- 3 days a week spaced out will make it most effective. Squats, planks, and lunges are strength training exercises that don’t require equipment. If you work out at the gym, the equipment you should use for strength training include the cable tower, lat pull-down and leg press.

  1. I used to strength train all the time, now I just do pilates. I feel like I do need to start doing some strength training though too, I should force myself to do push ups every day, even if I just do ten, if I push myself to do them every day, then one day it will become routine and it will be like brushing my teeth in the morning!

  2. I use to be very passive about strength and fitness in general, but eversince I started feeling some signs of aging, I have tried to make it a point that I become stronger that I previously was in order to do more of the things I love and usually do. There came a point when my groceries felt stressful for me cause of all the back pains I get afterwards, and that for me was the wake-up call.
