Cook Your Greens the Right Way

All of your life, you have been told to eat your greens. But, do you know how to cook them at home so that you want to eat them? As an adult, we hope you are still feeding your veg to the dog!

This video is from Canyon Ranch, the mother ship of wellness retreats, with instructions from their chefs on how to prepare these leafy greens.

Leafy vegetables, such as kale, spinach, and broccoli rabe, are great sources of important vitamins, minerals, and nutrients such as iron and vitamin K. The USDA recommends that we get three cups of these vegetables per week…and many of us are not even coming close to that.

Watch this video for some tips on how to bring more green to the table so that you can prepare green veggies for yourself and for your family to try and hit the three cup goal this week!

  1. This is going to sound really gross, BUT I adore eating raw spinach with ketchup! I grab a bunch of spinach out of the bag and then squirt ketchup on top! Ah ha ha! My friends think I am so odd, my stomach thinks I am a genius!! 😉
