Daily Bite [Say]: Take Care of Your Body via Jim Rohn

Take Care of Your Body Quote

Known fact: your body is the only one you’ve got.

The late self-help guru Jim Rohn points this out in his oh-so-wise quote:

Take Care of Your Body It Is the Only Place You Have to Live

This is one of the simple things we often forget, but it is so true. If you treat your body badly you are basically kicking yourself out of your only home. We don’t want to do that. So plaster this quote on your fridge, your bathroom mirror and put it in your wallet so you never forget it.

Our bodies will, of course, undergo a certain amount of wear and tear because we are by no means indestructible, but keeping your body as healthy and happy as possible should be a personal goal.

Treat your body as a priority with these 5 simple tips to body wellness:

1. Listen to it! Don’t ignore your throbbing back or disregard your rumbling tummy. Your body is trying to tell you something so give it the attention it deserves when it asks for it.

2. Remember that food is fuel. Yes it is can’t-stop-eating-finger-licking-good sometimes too, but the reality is that your body survives on getting the proper nutrition and this doesn’t mean making French fries a food group. Eat right so your body runs smoothly. Better yet, use some meal prep and delivery services to get home delivery meals which are fully cooked and healthy.

3. Count your sheep every day. Getting enough sleep is the ugly step sister of the healthy living trifecta but it is so important! Running on empty does no good for your mental or physical state so be sure to carve out the right amount of shut-eye for your body.

4. Work it out. Exercise does more than get you bathing suit ready. Your daily date with the treadmill works wonders on the inside. Just goes to show that you can get healthy from the inside out.

5. Schedule spa time. Occasional indulgences show your body love. Treat yourself to the things that make you feel good from time to time like a massage, a facial or even a new outfit that will have you walking with your head high.

How do you treat your body right? What can you work on the most from the list above?
