Studies have shown that listening to music can be very beneficial to strengthening the bond between your mind and body. Your focus is on the tunes instead of any emotional hardships or stress. The calming factor of music leads to reduced stress, depression, risk of illness and even reduced sensations of pain. Keep your favorite songs on your smartphone, iPod or car stereo so you can listen in when you feel tension starting to rise. Try our Music Monday exercises that pair a specific song with a workout routine!
