Although it may seem as though it was just yesterday for some older Batman fans, June 23, 2014 marks the 25th anniversary of the 1989 film version of Batman. This movie, starring Michael Keaton as Batman and Jack Nicholson as the Joker, took audiences by storm when it was first released on the silver screen. Looking back on the movie now, and comparing it to the modern day Batman movie series, starring Christian Bale as Batman and the late Heath Ledger as the Joker, is quite the experience. The evolution of the Joker’s face make up alone is something to be analyzed in great depth. This week’s dinner and a movie is to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the fantastic movie that is Batman and the hit film series it inspired. Of course, since Bruce Wayne lived a life of lavish luxury while he was not protecting Gotham City, BSW has picked out the riches of recipes for this week’s dinner and a movie!

There is something so enticing about the sound of Swiss Steak, and the picture doesn’t look so bad either. We imagine Batman wouldn’t be able to fight crime the way he did without a little bit of iron and protein to keep him strong and pump him up. Attempt making this steak recipe that should keep your taste buds satisfied and your energy up as you watch every exhilarating crime fighting scene in Batman.

What will you indulge in this weekend?
Yessssssss Batman! And I would take that drink for my weekend indulgence!
Honestly, Oreos remind me of Batman! HA HA. Maybe because they’re black and the filling can be yellow, and a lot of people dress up as Batman for Halloween and Oreos also remind me of that holiday. Okay, very weird assimilation! LOL!
