Summer lovin’ had me at blast. To be honest, the title of this dinner and a movie post is thanks in part due to the incredible music in Grease. I’ve been an undercover fan of this movie forever, and even though it mostly takes place during the school year, it might as well take place in the summer because it makes you feel that good. The opening scenes said it all, and the song “Summer Lovin'” will never lie. Enjoy a refreshing summer salad with Grease. This easy salad includes a recipe for the dressing too and is filled with fruits, veggies, and (our fave) avocado. Talk about convenience!

This movie is the perfect rainy day, summer movie. A little frightening, it is just enough to make you question whether the water at the beach is really all that safe. Jaws is a classic among classics, but even better than this film, is the recipe paired with it. When it comes to seafood, a nice white clam sauce is the perfect way to start. It is a simple recipe and light on the tastebuds. Linguine with white clam sauce is an outstanding summer dish, especially when watching a movie about the creatures of the sea…

It wouldn’t be summer without a little baseball. The boys of The Sandlot are always welcome to tell their sentimental and hilarious tale of coming of age during summer vacation. If you never watched this as a kid, than I feel it is my job to inform you that your childhood is missing one of the most important stories there is. If you have seen it, than surely you know it is well worth another watch. To cool down after a long day of movie marathoning, try this blackberry sorbet. It is the perfect way to wrap up an evening of summer flicks!
