Spread the Wellness: Meet FitKnitChick

We are bringing you another great healthy lifestyle website to check out in our Spread the Wellness series.

One of the many reasons we love Tamara from FitKnitChick is her personal training background. Tamara is incredibly knowledgeable about physical fitness and we have an obsession with her #FatblasterFriday series where she shares a great workout idea every week…just be prepared to sweat. Not to mention, her YouTube skills are oh-so-fabulous!

Now it is your turn to get to know more about Tamara. Read on Wellies!

Are you a morning or evening exerciser? I definitely prefer to workout in the morning, not too early, but within an hour or so of breakfast. Unfortunately, that’s also the same time that most of my personal training clients prefer to train, so my workout often gets bumped to mid-day or early afternoon. (I love it when a 9 am client cancels at the last minute!)

Healthy lifestyle quirk?  I never go anywhere without some form of portable protein in my purse. My current favorite is single serving tuna pouches!

What healthy meal do you go gaga for? Definitely grilled wild salmon with roast asparagus. I make it at home at least once a week and it’s my go-to meal whenever we eat out at our favorite, local seafood restaurant.

Most memorable fitness moment: The first time I crossed over to the front of the aerobics room and donned the headset! Transitioning from group fitness participant to group fitness instructor was the most wonderful, exciting and stressful moment in my fitness career.

Next fitness trend/class you want to try? I really don’t follow fitness trends. I know what I enjoy and what works for my health and fitness goals and really don’t feel the need to try things just because they’re all the rage.

Best piece of health advice: Make one small change in your life at a time. Once it becomes a habit, pat yourself on the back and make another small change. Think about healthy living as a process, not an end point.
