Model Behavior: The Workout Trends of Supermodels

We flip through the pages of magazines, watch the news on television, or see ads in the mall that showcase supermodels from all over the world looking thin, flawless and the epitome of beauty. It’s hard not to question how in the world they look so perfect.

Fortunately for our own sanity, most of those pictures are retouched and it’s true that not everyone is perfect. Still, these supermodel women have killer bods that we can’t resist knowing how they get in such tip-top shape, and even take a few pointers ourselves.

Forget starvation diets—looking fit and working out is models’ new go-to strategy for rocking the runway.

Well and Good has showcased some of the world’s most famous models and their workout regimen that keeps them in such awe-inspiring shape.

1. Miranda Kerr

She is known for healthy eating and her regular yoga practices, but she also is dedicated to ballerina-inspired techniques from Mary Helen Bowers’ Ballet Beautiful program.

2. Julie Henderson

This New York native takes her workouts to the park, Central Park that is. She loves 45-minute runs through this New York landmark. In addition to running, she takes studio classes such as: Ballet Bungee and boxing classes. She also has a yoga instructor teach her in her home. Henderson says that she likes “to do a variety of workouts” to keep her interested in motivated, according to the Well and Good article.

3. Adriana Lima

We’ve all seen this Angel strut the runway showcasing her rock-hard abs, all due to her love of boxing. Her training includes a lot of jumping rope and punching combos with weights.

4. Gisele Bundchen

Don’t let her gentle demeanor fool you. Bundchen is a major fan of explosive Kung Fu. She kicks and spars for 90-minute sessions at the Boston Kung Fu Tai Chi institute three times per week. She also practices yoga, as seen on her Instagram, with daughter Vivian.

5. Heidi Klum

There really isn’t anything that this woman can’t do. She is always photographed running in New York, and her trainer usually has her stop and do box jumps and step-ups on benches along her run.

Models are human, too! But their dedication to achieving a healthy body and lifestyle is something that even us average folks can take some advice on.
