You know the feeling all too well: you’re scrolling through your Instgram feed, eating a bowl of cereal for dinner because you’re too beat to whip up much of anything else, and suddenly you’re hit with an overwhelming sensation of envy. Why? Your favorite food blogger just posted her dinner, and it ain’t no Cheerios and milk. Sigh.
Well we are here to commiserate. We, too, feel deeply envious of others’ foodie posts, and we’re here to share a few of them. Misery loves company, right?
We are slightly obsessed with the “What I Ate This Week” post series on the food blog, Imma Eat That. The site’s creator, Kylie, has taken to sharing her weekly eats, and we are loving every bit of it. She photographs her daily dinners, lunches, breakfasts, and snacks/desserts, all of which look de-lish as well as, most importantly, doable; her cooking style is not, thankfully, intimidating (even to those of us chomping on Cheerios for dinner…). These crispy avocado tacos caught our eye last week, and they’re still holding our attention. Get the recipe here!
Seafood + salsa = summer side dish perfection in our book. This low-carb recipe from Skinny Taste combines shrimp with all your regular salsa mix-ins — think tomatoes, peppers, onions, cilantro, and lime. As if its simplicity isn’t enticing enough, this protein-packed starter packs just 75 calories for a little over a half-cup serving. Get the refreshing recipe here and set this out at your next summer shindig!
Breakfast foods are our favorite, hands down. So when life gets in our way (snooze button, we’re talking to you) and we can’t sit down for a proper morning meal, recipes like this one are saviors. These yummy muffins are made with only 3 tablespoons of butter as well as stevia, a healthy sugar substitute, making them way lower in calories than that slice of banana bread you’d normally pick up from Starbucks on a rushed morning.
This drink has our jaws dropping. Let’s just say we’d happily ditch the Diet Snapple for this absurdly refreshing blended combo of coconut water, watermelon, lime juice, and mint leaves. Basically all of our favorite flavors are accounted for in this one, and we couldn’t be more thankful to Foodess for mixing them all up together. Get the recipe here. Now.
Which blog posts are giving you the most food envy?
The photography on Spoon Fork Bacon ( http://spoonforkbacon.com ) is amazing, I’ve been getting a little better at photography on my own blog but the two women who write that are amazing!
Consequently delectable! That appears impressive.
IMMAEATTHAT is literally the BEST name for a FOOD BLOG! ha ha! 😉
These made me hungry lol…
Seriously! Especially the tacos!
