Daily Bite [Make]: Spaghetti Fritters

Spaghetti fritters huh? We thought we had heard it all but someone on the web had to take their spaghetti creations to the next level. We are so happy they did because now that we know about these crispy, crunchy delights, there is no turning back.

Just look at them:

This Friday Night Bite from Authentic Suburban Gourmet is quite possibly our new favorite appetizer. Lisa couldn’t stop at just the fritters. She even created an arugula and walnut pesto which sounds like something straight from food heaven.

You’d think that making these spaghetti bites would be complicated, but after you cook your pasta like normal you toss the noodles in a mixture and simply sauté them. And voila! Spaghetti like you have never had it before.

Get your grocery list and add these ingredients right now:

  • 3 oz. Spaghetti, broken in half
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 5 Scallions, trimmed and minced, white and green
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Red Chili Flakes
  • 1/3 Cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese + additional for sprinkling
  • Zest of half lemon
  • 8 to 10 Grinds Pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • Oil for pan frying

Then head on over to Lisa’s amazing and inspiring blog for the how-to on frittered spaghetti.

We approve.

Have you ever had spaghetti fritters? What is your favorite spaghetti recipe?
