Ready to try these “I know it is weird but…” bits of beauty advice for healthy skin, eyelashes and more? Your good looks will pair perfectly with your sparking personality for the ultimate expression of fabulous health.

1. Get Steamy

A mega-dose of moisture makes your skin look fresh and dewy. Step into a hot bath or stand near a hot shower for 10 minutes for a renewed facial lift.

2. Have a Dose of Pepto-Bismol on your Face

A tablespoon of the pink stuff can help your belly and help you skin! Pepto-Bismol contains bismuth sabsalicylate—an antibacterial active agent that can help tighten your skin, shrink your pores and dry out acne. Smooth Pepto-Bismol onto your face, let it dry for 20 minutes and rinse with warm water. Don’t go overboard on your Pepto skin routine. It can dry your skin out if used in access so keep your daily face care regimen at hand.

3. Flush Away Bloat with Apple Cider Vinegar

We all have days when we feel like a bloated mess. Flush away the blimp-like feeling with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and a half glass of water. Within a half hour the vinegar enzymes will slow down your gastric juice production and you can fit into your skinny jeans in no time.

4. Omega-3 your Eyelashes

The studies may be saying that Omega-3 doesn’t prevent heart attacks, but a dose of flax seed oil has some beautifying benefits. Dab a bit of flax seed oil on your lash line and watch them magically repair and grow. No need for any lash boosting make-up from the store with a hefty dose of omegas and B vitamins from flax!

5. Fix a Flushed Face

Nothing is better than using a sweat sessions to get toxins out of your body, but if you have a red face after a workout (extremely red for hours after your exercise has ended even though you are hydrated, take an antihistamine like Benadryl when you leave the gym to reduce the redness.

6. Tone your Skin with an Herby Concoction

Combining sage, peppermint and witch hazel is the key to beautifully even skin tone. Sage has oil controlling properties, witch hazel helps restore your skin’s protective layer and peppermint creates a refreshing tingle. Combine 4 ounces of witch hazel with 1 teaspoon of sage and peppermint leaves. Steep the mixture for one to three days and then apply away.

7. Blister-Proof Your Kicks

Breaking in a pair of new shoes can be downright awful. Keep blisters away by using antiperspirant as a barrier. The “barrier” can decrease friction and prevent sweat glands from producing moisture so you don’t have to sport your new pumps with socks. Roll or spray the antiperspirant on your soles and between your toes.

8. Dry Elbows and Heels Be Gone

Quench your dry elbows and heels with the popular citrus, grapefruit. Exfoliate your rough spots in the shower, then cut a grapefruit in half and rest one elbow/heel in the fruit for 15 minutes. The acid from the grapefruit will make your skin silky smooth from loosening the dead skin cells.

Flax seed oil is being added to my grocery list. I have the puniest lashes on earth so I’m eager to see how this works!

Wow! Yeah! Thank you! I am so psyched about the whole grain noodles. I will whip something up and post it on my blog for y’all.

So, there is something that makes sense to me about Pepto Bismol on your face as a beauty mask. Think I will have to give that a try.

However, all I have to do is walk by Benadryl and I am out for a week so I think I will avoid that one.

Thanks so much for the great giveaway, I will send my addy over. Love ya, Jana

I am so psyched to be Mara’s pasta giveaway winner! Thank you so much.

I am buying the Pepto Bismol routine, something about it makes sense to me. Yup!

However, just walking by Benadryl put’s me into a slumber for a week. Think I will avoid that one.

Thanks for offering the fun giveaway, I will send over my addy. Love ya! Jana

Yay! Congrats Jana! Send your address my way. And I know many people that are sensitive to Benadryl, but I am glad some of the other wacky ideas appeal to you!

I love to do a crushed aspirin mask. The salicylic acid in the aspirin + exfoliation makes your skin absolutely glowy and is awesome for blemishes!

I have heard about that one too…but for some reason the thought of pepto-bismol on my face seems more appealing 🙂
