It has been a long week, and I think it is time for a good laugh. There is no other producer I would look to for a definite belly laugh than Judd Apatow. While the list of his movie successes go on and on, there are a few that will ever let a person down when they are looking for a laugh. His style includes a little romance, some drama, and a lot of real life and relatable personal experience, that get audiences laughing in that “oh I’ve been there” sort of way.
Apatow’s films are never a let down, which is exactly why we are suggesting you watch a few this weekend for a dinner and a movie night. You might laugh so hard you choke on the incredible recipes you’ve prepared to accompany the film, but at least you will be having a grand ol’ time. We picked out three of our favorite Apatow movies (with the best comedians and actors) to share with you!
Forgetting Sarah Marshall + Tuna Steak (via Taste of Home)

It is one of the best break up movies of all time: Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Jason Segel is hilarious and Mila Kunis is perfectly stunning in this romantic comedy about going through a blind-sided break up. Many of us have been there, but not many of us were able to go to Hawaii to get over it. Watch this movie while eating some zesty orange tuna steak, and at least pretend your on a fancy dinner date in Hawaii like Jason Segel and Mila Kunis.
Pineapple Express + Drunken Italian Noodles (via The Cozy Apron)

For a movie about the underground world of, um, marijuana, it only seemed appropriate to pair this comedy with some late night food. This may not be the exact definition of late night food (grilled cheese and fries comes to mind more than this meal) but we couldn’t resist a pasta dish called “drunken Italian noodles.” We could only imagine that the characters in this movie would have enjoyed this dish after having their “fun.”
Bridesmaids + Beef Empanadas (via Sur La Table)

Last but not least, there is no better Apatow classic than Bridesmaids. This movie was a low budget film that took America by storm because go just how funny the humor truly was. We are sure you have seen it, so in honor of the Brazilian restaurant scene, we present you beef empanadas. Let’s just hope these empanadas will not ensue the wrath that the Brazilian food did on this pack of bridesmaids.
Which Judd Apatow film will you watch?
I could so go for that tuna steak right now! YUM 🙂
Hey was he stammering. I felt that he was unreeparpd for the video and got stuck at few instances. Jonah Hill was not comfortable in front of the camera. Woo. I am looking forwards to it. I am late but I will catch up.Roy
