5 Christmas Themed Runs to Celebrate The Healthy Way

Before you start inhaling candy canes, celebrate the holidays by signing up for Christmas themed holiday run. It may be a little colder outside but don’t let that stop you from warming up with a good run. Running in the cold weather is actually healthier than running during other seasons because the cold decreases the heat stress on your body, it prevents the seasonal slowdown of your metabolism in the winter, and it gives you a chance to get rid of all that holiday weight gain. New York, Las Vegas, Chicago, and Washington D.C. are some cities that will be hosting a Christmas themed holiday run in the upcoming weeks. Since this is the season of giving, most of these runs are for a great cause like Toys for Tots, Arthritis Foundation, and students living in poverty. Below are some of the upcoming races we are most excited about.

No holiday runs for me, however, I do work out every day over the holidays, it’s such an easy – and free – way to reduce the common problem of stress during these weeks! Everyone who stops working out is setting themselves up for some extreme stress!
