10 Creative Recipes for National Cupcake Day

Dieting and eating healthy is great, but sometimes you just want to say “Screw it” and eat a whole cake. Well, instead of going face first into an Angel Food cake, take a deep breath and try this awesome alternative idea. Have a cupcake! Not all cupcakes are created equal, either. Some cupcakes are loaded with refined sugar, butter, oil, and unnecessary calories. Would I let you eat that? Of course not. Now, let me make myself clear…it’s alright to have some of those things once in a while in moderation. And while these cupcakes are all healthier than traditional cupcakes, and healthier than eating an entire cake by yourself, these cupcakes are not as healthy as eating an apple.

Sweet treats are fine to have sometimes, so when you’re craving something sweet, reach for a healthier cupcake! In honor of National Cupcake Day, I’ve found ten delicious cupcakes that are better-for-you than other cupcakes. So give your diet a rest and enjoy one of these semi healthy cupcakes! Yum!
