Daily Bite Wellness Tip - Weigh Yourself In The Morning

Trying to lose weight but not sure when’s the best time to weigh yourself so you can keep track of your progress? Aside from the fact that you should keep in mind that your weight isn’t always an accurate reflection of your overall weight loss (especially if you’re building muscle) and you should definitely back it up by keeping track of how many inches you’re losing as well, the most important thing to keep in mind is to weigh yourself first thing in the morning. Be sure to wear light clothing (and similar clothing everyday) and weigh yourself before you eat or drink anything to ensure more accurate results.

How do you keep track of your weight loss?

  1. I do not weigh myself. I stopped about 3 years ago. I am not trying to lose weight though. I think for those people who are in fact trying to lose weight, they should weigh themselves once a week, in the morning, on an empty stomach. That is the most accurate reading because you most likely have eliminated most of what’s in your system. Once you do attain your goal weight, try to not get too stuck on the NUMBERS – numbers do not define who you are as a person!

  2. I try not to weigh myself too often and just go on how my clothes fit. When I do though, it’s first thing in the morning, after I go to the bathroom, totally naked. Hate it when you go to the doctor’s office after lunch fully clothed wearing 5 lb boots. They always look at you like…hmmmm…..holiday season hit YOU hard!
