Just one word pops up when I think of Brook’s Running’s Glycerin 12 shoe: comfort. And that’s what I value most in a running shoe. My feet just felt lighter when I first started wearing these due to the abundance of great cushioning. Get ready to feel bouncy when you put these on. Better yet, they support your feet when you’re running and walking.
I’ve had them for a few months now, and they’ve still managed to maintain that cushioning—no small feat there. The shoe advertises itself as outfitted with “super DNA” that provides added cushioning, and it lives up to that promise.
Even though these are super cushioned, the upper part of the shoe provides plenty of stability. These don’t feel like they’ll ever fall off. I appreciated how stable and comfortable these felt and I am sure you will too.
As far as aesthetics goes, I loved the way these looked. Each pair comes in really fun color schemes. I got a yellow pair that I’ve come to love since I usually just wear black whenever I exercise. The bright color makes these shoes pop and can help make a a plain black workout wardrobe pop. The brighter colors these come in make this pair ideal for fashionistas and those who prefer to work out at night alike.
My only real complaint about these is that they don’t provide too much ankle support. I’ve got pretty mobile ankles and these didn’t really stabilize my wobbly joints too much. But that’s a small complaint for an otherwise perfect shoe from Brooks. This model is on sale now, so you might want to hit up the site pretty soon. Happy trails!
