10 Breadless Sandwich Ideas

I’m kind of a sandwich fanatic.

On every corner of NYC there are bodegas that sell hoagies but there is one that my husband and I frequent that we have coined “The Deli Man.” Usually I peel off the top piece of bread so I don’t feel like I am eating a loaf for dinner, but even so, my bread consumption needs to take a back seat from time to time.

But, ditching the bread doesn’t mean you have to ditch the sandwich. Here are ten ways to celebrate your love for sandwiches without the bread. Click on the photo to be taken to the recipe!

1. Get Creative with Cucumber

  1. Those are some pretty good and delicious ideas!!! More nutrition included too 🙂 I like the looks of the sushi roll up, because it’s basically like the Korean KIMBAP but with different fillings! I should make those more often since I have the necessary ingredients~teehee

  2. I LOVE these ideas. I’m currently in a cabbage boat/wrap mode, but some of these are giving me some great ideas. Never thought about using the mushrooms as “bread”. Great list. Thanks for sharing, definitely pinning and passing this list along, too.

    • A cabbage wrap is also a fabulous idea. Or you could do slices of the purple type if you cut it thick enough maybe. I hope you try some of these other ideas and THANKS for sharing!

    • With most of these you have to cut them a little thicker than you normally would to have the same sandwich support. Otherwise I am sure it would be a mess! Thanks for stopping by BSW Elisabeth!
